This picture is basically a fan art of my own fanfiction story. Would you call it fan art if you do it yourself?

My story is called The Captive Bride

Its a AU story centered around a relationship between Sesshomaru and Rin. I do love that coupling.
Rin worked in a company that Sesshomaru eventually took over. After a few happenings, they find themselves married, yet still at each others throats. Then Rin suddenly finds out that she's pregnant and Sesshomaru has yet to tell Rin his true feelings.

So here we see our proud demon lord, now a proud papa. This is the major scene in the last chapter, which I have yet to write at the moment.
Sesshomaru holds his new daugher for the first time and actually smiles! She is named Hikaru after her grandmother, Rin's mother.
And Hikaru is a hanyo, just like her Uncle Inuyasha. Her ear was the hardest thing to make prominent.
But I've had this image in my head for a long time and I needed to get it done!



Its actually one of my better pieces. I tried something different with the hair and I think it looks really good. I even tried a new way of my coloring. I did it without the outlines, coloring over them. I keep thinking that the lines distract from the whole picture. So a course of lights and darks help to show us the real outlines. I referenced his face from some of Zyephen's art styles because she does Sesshomaru and Inuyasha so beautifully.

But this is dedicated to all my readers out there. They all stayed with me over the months as I wrote it, even during my long dry spell that nearly sent out the search parties after me.
If you like, go and have a read. Its a long 15 chapters now, number 16 in the making. Actually, you get to see this and the final result of the story even before my readers do. I could have posted it later....but I don't wanna.
